Pastor Sells Off Church Property and Escapes With The Money; Arrested In Lagos

The General Overseer, Christ Citizen Glorious Assembly Church in Lagos, Pastor Ikechukwu Ezeiru has been arraigned before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrate’s Court for selling the church building and landed property located in Lagos and escaping with all the money realized from the illegal act.

The same Pastor Ezeiru had earlier been brought before the same court for defrauding member of his church identified as Ifeanyi Ohazurume of N7m.

    Giving evidence in the latest case, Police said: 43yrs old Pastor Ezeiru sold the church building and land on Plots 9A and 9B, Family Estate, Ago Palace Way, Okota, Lagos, after which he absconded with the proceeds of the sale.

ABUJA BOMB BLAST: Nigerians Lambast President Jonathan Over His Visit To Kano State


Nigerians have lambasted President Jonathan and voiced out their anger over his visit to Kano state to welcome former governor of the state, Ibrahim Shekarau, to the Peoples Democratic Party, a day after the country was thrown into mourning following the death of over 200 people killed in the Abuja bomb blast that occurred on Monday, 14th.
A top lawyer, Festus Keyamo shared his opinion saying “It is very insensitive and irresponsible.”
While speaking on the tears President Jonathan shed on Monday after his visit to the blast scene said:
“It is just pretence, nothing but pretence. We ought to declare clear seven days of mourning for those victims. No political activities should take place with those seven days.”

BUSTED: 19-year-old student arrested with N228 million worth of hard drugs at MMIA (PICTURED)

Pakistani student

A teenager from Pakistan has been arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos for being in possession of illicit drugs.
19‑year‑old Iftikihar Muhammed Arslan was taken into custody by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency after he was found with 25 parcels of heroin said to be worth about N228 million.
Arslan was apprehended after a screening of incoming passengers on a Qatar airlines flight revealed the drugs.
Vanguard reports:
Vanguard gathered that seized drugs weighing 25.400kg, have an estimated street value of N228 million.
Preliminary investigation has shown that the suspect left Lahore, Pakistan with the drugs to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, then Doha, in Qatar, from where he connected to Lagos. He is believed to be working for a Pakistani drug cartel.
